There is nothing more sad than the last day of a vacation. November 14, 2014 was our last day in Orlando before finally driving home again. Most of the day was spent lazing around (which drove me flipping nuts) while everyone else recovered from three days at the park. Finally towards the end of the day Andrew and I went to ride the ferris wheel at the “Fun Spot” park near our hotel. It was a wonderful moment and I was so happy to have shared it together. Afterwards we explored one of the outlet malls before having dinner at a steakhouse. Then we finally watched the Blues Brothers together and afterward it was time for bed. The next morning we had to pack up the car and say goodbye. Andrew tried to keep me for himself but as much as I didn’t want to go….I still had to come home.
Here are some of the goodies we bought in Diagon Alley
I had a Florida checklist that consisted of palm trees, oranges and alligators but as we packed up our car to leave I realized the last thing on the list had not been checked off. Luckily as we drove through Florida we saw a bunch of billboards advertising “Baby Gators” so we made a stop at a roadside orange shop. The baby alligators were stuck in a tank…cute, not very intimidating, but at least it counts.
The rest of thirteen hour drive home was largely uneventful. When we finally arrived all our pets were so happy to see us and so we settled down, unpacked and have done our best to readjust to the muggle world.
My best friend Andrew took a lot of pictures too and he captured many moments I wasn’t able to! You may have also noticed I wasn’t in many of my own pictures but Andrew got some of me! Check out his shots! You can also find his work on flickr!
Now sadly, that is the end of that! But this is one more bucket list item I get to check off!
